I'm just playing around with the idea.
I was originally planning on doing an online degree with the University of New England in Australia but after some consideration, I decided that I would rather become a full time student. I'm really not an academic so I don't think I could balance an online MA with a regular job. That and online degrees aren't worth anything to most employers.
My long term goal is to stay in Korea and hopefully get as far away from the Hagwons and Public Schools as I can (though I don't mind teaching).
Anyway, what programmes/options are open to us foreigners? What do you recommend? I'm up in the air about what I want to take. I was originally planning on doing a Master's in TESOL however these days, the idea of doing something related to business sounds interesting. I met a foreigner who was doing an International Business MA and liking it.
Also, what are the fees like? How much would it cost as an international student? I heard somewhere that foreigners pay less than Korean Nationals but after browsing a few university websites, this obviously isn't the case (50,000,000W per year at Yonsei).
Any suggestions of universities/programmes to look into? Cost is a factor. |

there's already a pretty long thread here that talks about getting a masters in Korea.
If the Dave's search isnt working try searching for it using www.searcheslcafe.com. |

I would first make sure the program is accredited. |

You may want to look at the lower ranking GSIS schools - not Yonsei, SNU, Korea, Ewha, or even Sogang - perhaps they would offer more scholarships. Maybe Hanyang (sp).
I go to Yonsei btw, if you have any questions, pm me. |
