I registered (and paid) for the USO DMZ tour BEFORE Kim Jung Il died and I will be going this Saturday. In fact, I got my payment receipt 2 hours before the new came out. For those of you well informed about NK/SK politics and DMZ antics: can I still expect to go to the JSA and tour inside the MAC building? Will the tensions be even higher there?
Based on the last news that I heard, the SK military is on high alert even though the NK military doesn't appear to be any more active than they usually are.
I was told that the tour is till "on" but they won't give me any more information... I guess because they are too busy dealing with panicky people canceling trips because of the news ("Dear Leader" dying and a coincidental missile testing). |

As far as I am concerned, it is. I'm a risk-taker by nature, anyway. |

I wouldn't worry about it. It might be the most interesting tour in years! |

Am I glad to be out before he croaked.
Although I'm sure nothing will happen but make sure to find cover quickly and go prone if you can't find anyway. Also remember that most cars make for terrible cover. Look for sandbags and thick concrete walls. |
