Money is not an issue. I'm looking for the biggest, best, chock-full-o-balls sports package available in Korea. Broadcast quality, HD preferred. Rugby, hockey, football, table tennis, hell...equestrian packages included.
Thoughts or suggestions? |

Skylife HD.
You get SBS ESPN HD (Premier League), MBC Sports + HD (Champions League), KBS N Sport HD (Korean volleyball and basketball), Star Sports HK feed (Premier League and a host of other sports), Eurosport HD (nothing much unless you like cycling, gymnastics, bad boxing and Euroleague basketball). Sky EN also carries Spanish La Liga live. If you like French soccer, TV5 on Qook Skylife TV carries live games and DW-World might carry live German league games. |

Nothing if you dont like Soccer.
I always get the streaming tickets from the NBA, MLB, NFL or NHL to watch some real sports! |

I didn't like soccer much before I came to Korea but it grew on me (not to mention the fact that it's the world's most popular sport).
I'm guessing the OP doesn't want to rely solely on the Web for watching sports so I suggested Skylife HD as the best option. Certain cable providers including the one for the Itaewon area recently dropped Star Sports, which is huge if you like sports.
I'm hoping ESPN Asia comes to Korea but I don't think so given the presence of SBS ESPN. |

I'm looking into doing the slingbox now, actually. I'll post more info once I find out how feasible it all is. |

You can get very good streams for Sopcast on Wizwig. If you have a decent TV you could link it up and have a decent alternative, but it will still cut out occasionally.
If money is no object I would go for the Skylife package. |

KT's QOOK SKYLIFE package gives you the full sky life package plus internet for 40,000 a month - just sort it out directly with KT over the phone. |

So what's the best way to watch NBA and NFL? I'm assuming not a cable package.
Believe it or not, this is one of my top two concerns about going to Korea. |

I do just fine with internet downloads (torrents, etc) after the fact. It isn't quite the same as watching live, but it's not so bad if you can keep yourself from checking sports sites on the internet throughout the day. The truth is that with the time difference you wouldn't be able to watch many games live even if you could get them on TV unless you plan on being awake at 4 am every day. |

NBA games used to be carried by SBS Sports (now SBS ESPN) and MBC ESPN (now MBC Sports +) but got taken off with higher Korean interest in English and European soccer.
Here's to hoping that Korea gets better in diversification of sports coverage. I honestly can say I can't stand golf. |
