| I have an LG phone, a Galaxy from about six months ago. They told me I wouldn't be able to use Kakao/Whatsapp/all the others in Europe. Is that true? I thought a large part of the appeal with those apps was that they worked all over the world, no matter your phone plan, no? |

Why wouldn't it work in Europe? I'm pretty sure it does.
Korean phone shop sales guys tend to only know about the phone system in Korea, if you're lucky!......but they will tell you their guesses as facts because they never want to say, 'I don't know'. |

| Thanks, but the LG English line said this, not the shop owner. |

| Go to your local branch and make sure you've got roaming set up or you might get a substantial phone bill. |

| I used it in Greece and England last summer. I think they still count as Europe, despite recent events. |

it will work just fine if you have an account and are signed in..
im not sure if it will be as easy to make a new account overseas because of the text message you need to receive with your validation number. perhaps thats what he was referring to? |

Maybe its because you got an LG Galaxy phone. Are you hoping to use it with a European carrier service? Because you can't. |
