Looking for a cheap couple of backpacks for travelling SEAsia for a month. One mens size and one womens size.
Willing to buy new or used as long as it is crappy and cheap.
Was thinking there must be Army surplus type stores somewhere in Korea if anyone knows of locations?
Thanks! |

I have a Gregory Shasta pack (60L beauty) that I'd part with for 100K, but no less. Koreans are gearheads, so it may be hard to find crappy hiking gear in this country. Good luck!

Thanks for the offer but will keep looking.
And yes, you are right, Koreans are gearheads and secondly there is just no market for used stuff of any kind. In my experience they either give it away to family members or throw it out. Pain in the ass really, but what can you do... |

If you're in Seoul then head to the market at Jeongno-5ga in the back on the stream side.
You'll find army surplus in Daegu outside of the central train station in the alleyway shops.
Might be some in Busan Nampo-dong, a couple stops from Busan station.
'Osan Shopping' outside the military base would have them. |
