I apologize for bringing up this topic - again.
I just sent my CRC to the RCMP in 1 province however because I have not lived in that province in the past 5 years they say they cannot issue it. The request must be sent to the province where I have lived in the past years. Well by next year that will be - none of them.
The officer I spoke with said the database is different from province to province. I lived in Ontario before so my CRC must come from RCMP in Ontario.
This makes no sense to me. its a FEDERAL check. One province can do a Fed check but another cannot?
Anyone have any insight how to obtain the CRC quickly? |

Which province do you live in now?
I got my fingerprints taken through the Winnipeg Police Service and sent to the RCMP electronically. It only took about two weeks to get my CRC back. I have lived in Manitoba all my life though, so they didn't have any questions about that.
Edit:
Perhaps they thought you wanted a provincial-wide check done? The provincial check does a search through the national database as well as provincial but its only a name and DOB search, not a fingerprint search. |

I got the impression the OP doesn't currently live in Canada and in another year there won't be a province that he can say he's lived in within the past 5 years.
If this isn't the case, then I'm not sure what the predicament is. Although, your idea makes sense.
I'm not Canadian, so I probably have no business posting here, but the OP could be a little more clear. |

| Call RCMP headquarters in Ottawa and explain the situation. They'll fix you up. |

According to Korean Immigration - and I got this in writing - if you submitted 1 Federal CRC and HAVE NOT left Korea.....(Vacations excluded) then you do NOT need a CRC.
When I transfer my Visa next year - no CRC is required.
If I leave Korea and come back - then of course its needed.
Logical - and the way it should be |

Well, perhaps they can send that in writing to the POEs/MOEs. |

I would recommend to use Skype if you're a Canadian in Korea who needs to talk about the CBC situation to the RCMP. That's how I did it last year. |
