| Looking for advice on getting my criminal check apostille. Just got my check back from the FBI after 10 weeks and need to get the apostille within a month or so. I've read that sending it directly to the Dept. of State can also take a long time. Anyone have experiences or suggestions to share? Thank you very much. |

If you live in Washington D.C. you can take your FBI check to the State Department's Office of Authentications and get an apostille on the same day.
Or you could hire an apostille service to do it for you-

The apostille services that work out of their condos/house/farm land can do the apostille service for cheap, normally its under $50.
