Has anyone seen the Intel 3930k in Korea yet? I've been checking GMarket now and then, but haven't found one so far.

Yes, but only certain kinds of products. I don't think they'll ship CPUs here. :-/

I would imagine that cpu's fall under consumer electronics.

I think that "some" is the key word in there. This is the message you receive when trying to ship a CPU (and a lot of other things) to South Korea: '

Well that sucks, maybe have someone from your home country purchase it and ship it to you?

I think getting someone to ship it to you or having a friend that is planning on heading back home to the states for the winter vacation pick one up for you would be the best bet. Especially with new computer products, the prices on gmarket and even at yongsan tend to be about 20-30% higher than the prices you'd find on amazon or newegg. I got my 2500k brought to me by a family member when they came to visit for about 25% cheaper compared to the gmarket prices. =)

Update!!

I was checking to see if Amazon would ship me some water cooling gear, and they will. In fact, 2-5 day shipping to South Korea for 8 pounds was only 40$US!

Just for giggles, I checked if they would ship CPU's again. THEY WILL! ..is this a result of the FTA or something? Don't know!

Family member hand carrying is still probably the cheapest, but Amazon is apparently now an open route as well.

What ur looking for is showing for nearly $700 on amazon.

Looks like korea does have it at many places...
