Sucks.
With traditional job offers, I agree, just move on..
With private teaching... it's another story.
I had this discussion with a female coworker of mine. I said those private job offers are female only because mothers believe females are more precise and careful, maybe safer to hire?
She thought it was so the mothers wouldn't be tempted to fool around with the "male" private teacher? Lol...
What are your thoughts? |

Either they think a woman is more likely to be able to teach university students better, or they think a woman will be easier to control or they think a woman will be easier on the eye, or they think a woman will be less likely to try and cop off with the students. For me, any of those reasons would be enough to convince me It wasn't really a professional work place. Regardless of my gender. |

We have gone from easy seeking jobs to hard to find due to the economic conditions. NOWHERE in between has the gender issue been a problem until now, because there are simply less jobs.
If the gender issue were really a problem, I think we would have experienced its effects well before jobs were cut. |
