Honestly,
It's not great. It's very hectic and on the dirty side. I wouldn't recommend living there if you don't have to. Close by however is Bundang which is great. If a school offers you an apartment in Sujin I would hesitate to take it. If you could live close by in Bundang and just work in Sujin you will be much happier.

I know this thread is old, but just wondering if anyone had some more current information about what the area around Sujin station is like now. Thanks!

I live at Sujin. It's not so bad but there are only 4 or 5 other foreigners in the area that I know of. It's a cheap place to live and there's no lack of shops, bars, restaurants, etc. Plus, the more Westernized areas of Bundang are only a few subway stops away. I wouldn't call it any more or less dirty than most places in the city.

Are you here already or did you just get the job offer? Shoot me an email at xxx and I can help you out with any other questions!

@ callmeishmael: Thanks for the information! I'm actually interviewing this week for a public high school position around there. Have you ever heard of Seongil Girls High School by any chance? Do you know anything about it?

I will definitely shoot you an e-mail if I get offered the position/will be moving to Seongnam Smile. Are you there for another year? It would be great to know someone around where I would be living right off the bat.

Jenna, aren't you the one leaving the girls' high school? I'm at the elementary school. I think we've met before.

Does anyone have any information on Seongil HS? I have an interview with the school next week and am interested to know what it's like there. How is the apartment? I lived just south of Bundang a few years ago and enjoyed it- especially being able to run on the pathway by the stream. Thanks in advance!

Posts asking about the conditions of a school are much more likely to attract accurate information if posted in the Jobs Forum. We appreciate you using the search function to find a related topic, but I think you will have better luck starting a new thread with a title relevant to your questions.
