To be honest, I've had haggis (like it a lot) and Iron Brew (not bad but I prefered Lucazade.)

This sounds interesting, but would it be bad for my health?

Yes it would be "bad for your health" like all deep fried food but one time isn't going to kill you.

I'm Scottish and deep friend butter balls doesn't particularly appeal to me. There are plenty of things with more flavour to deep fry.

The article says that it was originally served in Iowa at a state fair. Looks nasty. I'd rather go with the banana fritter.

To be honest the whole deep-fried thing isn't even confined to Scotland, in my regular "Chinese" takeaway back home (Liverpool) you see people getting deep-fried pizzas or pies though I haven't see anyone order a deep-fried mars bar yet (unlike one my Glasweigian mates).

Scotland invented the deep fried Bounty.

We must look like insects to them.
