Is there some sort of non-profit help thing I can do in Korea? Ideally I'd like to work with kids, whether it be adopted, mentally challenged, or a worthy cause. Even a big brother/sister organization if it exists.

I know there are limitations because of

1) Language barrier
2) Contract/Visa laws
3) Being non-Korean

Any help is much appreciated. Cheers

If you want to be charitable, then go work in in a Hogwan.

very funny above Very Happy

on a serious note, in Ulsan, there are a group of teachers/ foreigners that hit up and orphanage once a month and go hang out with the kids. They are actually having a big christmas thing on Sunday for the kids.

Thanks everyone,

this is more towards what I was looking for. Is there anything year long round that you know of? I'm looking to be part of an organization if possible.

Thanks guys. I won't be located in Ulsan though but maybe I can find some vacation time so that next year I can visit the orphanage. It sounds like something I really want to do.

Gracias

If you're in Seoul, I believe there is a program to teach English to North Korean defectors or orphans.
