Want to do some afternoon skiing this week with a couple friends. This place is near Seoul but I haven't heard anything about it. Anybody recommend it? |

You know it.. Usually I don't like to advertise "cheonnie" because of a fear of thousands swarming and taking over my favourite little ski resort, but as I am unable to ski this season I will make an exception. Cheonmasan is a decent little place. It has some good runs with some good areas for jumps later on in the day. They usually set up two pretty HUGE jumps for those that are so inclined. They have edible food on the mountain or some pizza shops n stuff down the bottom in the village. It is pretty easy to get to and cheap. |

You're right, not only is it close (took me just a little over an hour from my house), it's pretty reasonable and convenient. Had a great afternoon but overestimated my ability and spent the first hour on my ass going down from the top. Will definitely go there again though. Thanks for the recommendation. |
