HI to all PS applicants over the next few months and next year.(eg sept)

This message is from an F2 visa/6 year vet wants this message to sticky

It's very important you dont send two or more applications to a govt dept.

you probably WILL be disqualified.

read carefully again..because if it happens, you could be doing this completely unwittingly, accidently or even legitimately thinking youre going for two seperate jobs but because those jobs may be processed through the same place IE Gepik, GOE etc..they might/will/could??? disqualify you.

Whats even sadder is that no-one..not recruiters/not the application form will warn you about this until it's too late.

now i'm not familiar with the EPIK "disqualification without being warned" criteria..but my story was through another govt dept.

I'm over all this now..and I have a great job and digs here in Korea, but this is a genuine message to all job hunters out there next year.

A) Keep a record of what govt dept youre actually applying through.
B) Question recruiters about what will get u disqualified.
C) again..keep record about what jobs you are going for and tell recruiters about what simlilar jobs you have applied for.

any other input from others who may have shared the experience i had in 2010 is appreciated. basically I went for two completely seperate jobs through two seperate recruiters. I passed the first interview and was happy to accpet that job. when I rang the other recruiter to cancel the other job apparently all hell broke lose at the 1 govt dept processing both jobs.

It's really simple to avoid. Apply to all the recruiters you want, and individual public schools you can. You only fill out the GEPIK, EPIK, IMOE, whatever government application it is when you find a school you like. That is your one application.

If you fill one of those forms out with a recruiter, and send it to them, considered yourself applied. That's why you never , ever, ever send documents or fill the application sheet out and then send it to a recruiter no matter what they say until you find the job you want. The recruiter will apply to the program on your behalf if you fill out a GEPIK, EPIK forum and mail it to them. That is when you run into problems.

P.S. The school I work at now got resumes from three different recruiters. The one recruiter found out and called me out on it. The school chose the recruiter they wanted to use. Because I did not apply to GEPIK however, there was no problems. I then filled out the GEPIK application and sent it to the 1 recruiter they chose to use.

Actually this is old news...we were told this years ago that you should send no more than 1 application to GEPIK/EPIK.
