|
|
Just wondering what people will think will happen to Kim Jong-Un. I read some time ago that when his father was still alive he had ordered North Korean soldiers to fire on North Koreans trying to cross the border illegally. He is quite young and I just can't imagine him staying in power until he is an old man. The only things I can see as his fate is him being assassinated or else ending up in prison in the Hague. I just don't see how he can assume power and not be implicated in huge human rights abuses. Either he will be overthrown and killed, or end up in prison.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this matter? |

Just looks so very young. He is a baby dealing with some very hardened experienced criminals. He could have an "accident". They will keep him around awhile, as a front man. |

yeah he's a baby in a pool of sharks.
I doubt that the latest threatening missive from the north even came from his lips. He's being managed by those old dogs.
Could he bring about changes even if he wanted to? I doubt it. |

I thought that for all his faults, the one good thing you could say about him was that he hadn't done anything evil, not yet, anyway. Beyond his guilt-by-association and the remarks by that Japanese chef who says he's just like his father, is there any documentation linking him to killing or harming people?
I forget the name of it, but there was a video game recently made which posited a (much better looking) Kim Jong Un taking over Asia and attacking the US.
However, for decades everyone has been assuming that the end is near for North Korea. But North Korea is still here, and there is a chance, however remote, that it will be decades before Kim Jong Un kicks the bucket. |

Right now he has a harem of the most beautiful North Korean women who will do his every bidding, has enormous power in the country, and can do anything he wants within the borders of that country.
I don't' care where he was educated, or what he knows. After being thrust into that lifestyle, why the hell would be want to do anything to give it up?
I wouldn't be surprised if he's spent the last month doing blow, having orgies with dozens of women, and gorging on lobsters, caviar, and kobe beef. |

While I hope he ends up hanging by his ankles from a lamp post, there is no reason to believe at this time that he can't gain control of the levers of power. He's in his late 20's. That's young, but not a kid. Wasn't Elizabeth I 24 when she came to power?
In my opinion, the real key to the longevity of his rule will be decided in downtown Beijing. When the Chinese want him gone, he will be gone. As long as he serves the purposes of the CCP, he will stay in power. |
