So, I had heard that as of January 1, 2012 that the Korean government was extending a financial benefit/discount for foreigners who have kids in Korean daycare/kindergarten.
I know that as of a year or two ago, they introduced a 100% benefit for bi-racial (Foriegners married to Koreans). This meant most of my friends who are married to Koreans could enroll their children in daycare/kindergarten for free or for minimal fees.
Supposedly, as of this new year, a new law would offer a similar (though maybe only partial) benefit to families who were not bi-racial (i.e. both parents 100% E-2/American/Canadian/etc.)
Any of you heard of this? Is it really true? Where would be the place to inquire about it? Local City Hall? Local Department of Education?
I asked our kids kindergarten, but they are dragging their feet and have been no help at all. |
