|
|
I just moved into a new place next to Sindorim Station. I've been scoping out the neighborhood for a week now and can't find any vegetable/fruit/food market.
There is of course E-Mart, but that's expensive and limited.
Does anyone living around here know where I might find this? Don't apartment complexes usually have a weekly market nearby?
Thanks. |

I don't know of any close to the station. I usually end up going to Yeongdeungpo or the discount market between Mullae and Yeongdeungpo Office station if you were to walk to Costco. A short walk they are not. |

Thanks for the info! Depressing but useful.
I know about a big market at Guro Station and another at Daerim Station, so I guess I'll just have to make a weekly trek of it. Thankfully I have a big fridge.
If I leave Mullae Station and walk in the direction of Costco, will I find this discount store? Or do you think Yeongdeungpo is better? |

UPDATE: Found a small outdoor veggie market next to a reasonably-priced supermarket.
From Sindorim Station Exit 2, turn left and cross the river. Continue down the street for about 5 minutes. (At some point you will need to cross the street.)
On the right side of the street is a yellow banner/sign that says "Dorim Mart" (and I think something else) in Korean: 도림마트.
To the left of the supermarket entrance is the small outdoor market. There are eggs, ddeok, fish, etc. there as well.
You'll know you've gone too far if the street just sort of runs out near the overpass. |
