Before I go scour Yongsan, I'd like to know if what I want is even available.

All I can find in my area are adaptors for plain 2 pronged North American plugs. What I need is an adaptor for a 3 pronged plug and one for a polarized plug (one side is bigger than the other).

To clarify--no, I don't need a transformer. These are for items that have internal transformers. I just need plug adaptors that fit!

So, anyone know if these are available and if so, where can I find 'em?

Never seen a 3-prong 110v adapter to change to a 2 pronged local one, but then again, I never looked. I just bought new cables for my TV, hair dryer and my old monitor, which all support 110v and 220v, like yours. They cost a pittance...

If you are going from 110 to 220, you will need more than a plug adaptor for certain items. I believe the transformers have three holes in them. You can plug your American 110 appliance into it. It can be purchased at the major supermarkets and at the small hardware stores which every neighborhood has.

I already have 2 power transformers for those sorts of items. These are for my laptop & camera which already have transformers on the A/C adaptors. The camera manual said that using an external transformer will actually damage the unit and I'm assuming the same is true for my computer. I've been just using the 2 prong plug adaptor for the computer but I'm not sure it's safe to have the 3rd prong just sticking out like that. The camera has the polarized plug and it doesn't fit the adaptor.

krats...you won't find a three-prong to 2-prong adapter. You should just buy new cables. At Yongsan, in the basement of the main building, they will make any kind of cable you need. Take clear diagrams of all fittings going into the machines, and you will be fine.

I've been using my computer (3 prongs) with a 2 prong adapter for 7 months and no power problems.
