I have been using a Wave-On AON MDH501H/D 5.1 channel headset for the past few years, and it gets the job done. Unfortunately, one of the speakers, I think the right rear, has stated cutting out.
I am middling technical savvy; is it worth my time to try and disassemble the headset and see if I can fix it? I think the company has gone out of business, so no A/S available.
More realistically, I will have to buy a new set. Can anyone recommend any brands worth looking at? I specifically need optical input, so I can hook it up to video game consoles. |

Headphones cutting out is usually means a solder contact has gone.....either in the ear-cup itself or maybe at the jack.
The wires are very fine so you would need to have the right soldering iron.
But as they're already a few years old, if it were me, I'd just treat myself to new ones. |
