I got my Iphone 4 in February last year and I was very hapy with it. The signal in my place is bad for 3G so I just connect to Wi-Fi for things like Skype.
Since updating to iOS5 I have had endless trouble. Calls are dropped at the beginning or about 5 minutes in. Skype doesn't work, it's a crapshoot whether or not I'll be connected when trying a voice call, and sometimes my earphones don't work on a call (with one number in particular).
Is this likely to be a software or a hardware problem? Should I take it to KT? Or to an Apple store (wherever that may be)? |

it sounds like a software issue. make sure skype is up-to-date.
also, apple has 2 versions of IOS5. there's IOS 5 and IOS 5.1. make sure you have 5.1
with that said, there's an apple store in the COEX mall in Seoul, among other places. they could probably help you out |

Great thanks so much, I'll go check it out. My skype is the newest version. I didn't realise about the iOS5.1 though. |

That's because there is no 5.1 yet. It's 5.01 and that update was mainly to deal with the battery issues that came about with the 5.0 update. Updating to 5.01 MIGHT solve your problems.
After poking around online, I found that it seems to be mainly a compatibility issue between Skype and IOS 5. If 5.01 doesn't solve your problems, then you'll just have to wait until Skype updates their software to resolve the issue. |
