Why have various posters changed their avatars?

I suspect it was to goad knuckle-dragging mouth-breathers into spending their time thinking about them, with secret hopes that one of them would go the extra mile down the path of idiocy and create a thread about it.

So it seems anyhow.

I haven't changed mine nor do I forsee doing so. I use the same avatar (and user name) on the four forums that I post on.

Who changed theirs that prompted this thread?

On of my favorites by the way is the fish riding a bicycle. I hate anything with cats. I hate cats. I would like a avatar of skinning live cats, but other than that no cats please.

I got this avatar mainly to make it easier to find my posts. Unfortunately I have now noticed that another poster have picked up the same avatar. I am tempted to change it, but I have also started using it on a few different forums, which will make it a hassle. The other user's avatar is oversized, so maybe I should just keep on reporting him for breaking the ToS until his avatar is removed :p I could of course ask him nicely instead, but that is the coward's approach

I change mine for what bike I own in Korea (had 3 so far, now its a CBR900) or for Christmas when I'm sucked into the "change your avatar for the holidays" thread that seems to pop up every year, then I use a photo from Bad Santa
