I would like to try and find an apartment near Yaksu, but so far all the realtors I've contacted have told me they don't service that area. Does anyone have any experience renting in that area? What are the prices like? Do you know any realtors/companies that work in that area?

Go the area, go into the shops, ask them what they have. There are dozens located within 50m of the subway station.
