My question is : what is the fine line between cheesy and romantic?
You can post your own questions if you also always wonder the difference between one and another. |

Is that suppose to be both cheesy and romantic?
To answer your question: Holding 100 roses in your teeth and getting recognized by the Guinness world record is Unique.
Holding 100 roses in your teeth while surfing internet at home is kinda Weird. |

Not if it brings in the goods
Having said that, I find that Korean girls aren't that informed about/ interested in romance (outside of Hollywood-type cliches), more about the specs and the gifts, which often seem to lead to marriages focused on making money in strict observance of a military-type of work-mania...real interesting life, at least you can impress all your friends with your brand goods and designer car...
Which is why generally they are pretty cheesy, in my book. |

I think this is romance without being cheesy-

Civil War letters, especially the love letters are a great read and have a slight twinge of poetry to them. Something about the fact that often the two would never meet again prevents them from becoming "cheesy".
Here's another one-

I'd say romantic has sincerity, patience, and above all a grasp of time that extends into the eternal. Romance comes from love.
Cheesy is for the moment. It is impulsive, fickle, and tries to condense everything into a single moment. Cheesy is often a dress-up for lust. |

Agreed. A romantic man will be instantly dropped here in favor of higher "specs".
Although, the girl may continue to swoon a bit and use the romantic interest to leverage her position more for the spec guy. A cheesy process to be sure. |

Cheesy.
Think of his motivation (he wants to get with you but can't say so directly).
Usually guys write poems when they are having trouble getting the girl in the first place. It's kind of a plan B.
Of course, if a guy has written you a poem,YOU can think of it as romantic if you want. That's what he's banking on anyway. |

Well said.
But I'd argue MOST male behavior is often a dress-up for lust. And most female behavior is often dress-up for securing a mate.
But believing THAT takes the romance out of everything. Sorry ladies. |

I think when people are being chessy their expressions are probably more genuine than when people manage to be romantic.
I don't know many cheesy guys, but those i know are actually really~really nice. It's unfortunate they are never popular among women. I can be friends with them, but I don't want to date them either
I wonder why being cheesy turns us off. |

Women don't want a "really nice" guy. They claim they do but they don't.
Nice is often perceived as weak, which is what women tend to avoid. This drives nice guys crazy, so they end up writing poems as a last resort.
Also, sometimes niceness masks insecurity. Although, a very confident guy can also be nice and not worry how it's perceived. It all depends.
I'm guessing someone wrote you a poem and you're not sure how to feel about it. Let them down easy. |

I don't know if it answers your question, but I found this online
"Pepsi has 42 grams of sugar, versus Coca Cola which has 39.9 grams per can. " |
