I looked for posts on this but everything that turned up was on the national background check in one's own country.
For my new job, in addition to an FBI background check, I have to get a "Korean National Police Certificate" (범죄경력 수사경력 회보서) from the police in Korea.
I have three questions:
(1) is this commonly done or some new visa requirement?
(2) how long does it take?
(3) if I brought charges against someone that resulted in them getting arrested, will that show up on the background check? Or will I only get pinged if I did something criminal?
Many thanks in advance. |

Its just for your school.
Go to the largest police station in your area it takes 10 mins.
If you have been arrested in Korea it isn't going to look good.

I haven't been arrested. I got someone arrested. I did have to give a report to the police to make this happen. I was wondering if this would show up on the report. |

| Why would it show up on your report unless you falsely accused the person and were charge with something of that nature? |

I remembered reading something a long time ago about how something similar had showed up on someone's American report (him bringing charges against someone). |
