| Did you know that many local libraries back home offer E-book checkouts? Sorry What the Book! I am going to hit up the library for my favorite pages as often as possible! Save trees, save room in my backpack... and in things I will have to sell back to the book store at a loss in the end of my contract. |

i use a 3g kindle keyboard and it works wonderfully. free 3g here in korea and most countries and the keyboard version has an experimental webkit based browser in it that allows me to do things like check my email abroad for free. take that, airports and hotels that try to charge me exorbitant amounts to use their wifi!
get the 3g kindle keyboard for anywhere outside of america. the other kindles simply aren't worth it. |

| I've got a Sony Reader and it does it's job. I have no idea how it compares to other ereaders though |

Got a Kobo reader and it works great. I did not get it for browsing the web of checking email as I have an Ipod touch for that and my wife has a tablet.
The reader is simple but great for reading. |

Also interested in this. Do all readers work this way? I know my library offers e-books, but I have no idea which readers can use them. Does Kindle require file conversion? I assume Amazon is trying to make money selling/renting books, so they would do whatever it takes to prevent people from using it just at their library. Am I wrong? Anyone know well about this? |
