This is a popular thread on reddit now. I wanted to share mine, but if I posted there, it'd just get lost in the jumble. So I thought it'd be cool to start it here and see if anyone else has a weird story like this.
I have one:
- When I was at college. I had the unfortunate schedule one semester of a lab followed immediately by a lecture. The lab was on one side of campus, the lecture on the other. Walking would have made me (and my classmates) very late, so we all drove our cars from the lab to the lecture hall. There was one short distance that you couldn't get through by cutting through parking lots and we actually had to turn on to a main road, drive about 100 feet and turn back into another parking lot. My classmates and I, all coming from the same lab headed to the same lecture, had a nice little train going. One guy in a white car in front, me in my white suv in the middle, and my other friend in his red car behind me. We all pull out on to the main road and I glance over to my left to make sure no car was merging with my lane and when I look forward again, my friend's red care is in front of me and pulling into the parking lot. The white car is nowhere to be seen. We park and I ask him how the hell he got in front of me all of a sudden (remember, he was behind me, then I looked to my left where the only other lane was and there was no one and then he's in front of me) and he has a confused look on his face saying "I don't know, I was just there." We were equally freaked out. We start asking where the other guy was and then suddenly he comes pulling into the parking lot as if he's just then coming off the main road. He jumps out and is clearly shaken up yelling at us asking us how the f* did we get in, parked, and stand outside our cars when were just behind him 2 seconds ago.
None of us could focus on the lecture at all. We didn't talk about it after. We each just went home and none of us have ever brought it up since.
My theory, worm holes. Some strange random collection of worm holes transported us through space and time and then quickly vanished. There is literally no other explanation for what happened that day. It still bothers me to think about it. |

MISSING TIME / MEMORY
If it was only one of you who experienced this strangeness, I would write it off as nodding off slightly and sort of going into 'auto pilot' like drivers sometimes do in routine routes. The fact that all three of you experienced missing time and memory really intrigues me. The fact that you were all three freaked out about it and didn't want to speak of it also surprises me. I would have told everyone I knew and investigated the matter exhaustively.
I don't want to freak you out, but these are classic signs of an abduction scenario. Of course there's no way to know if beings came down from the sky in a craft and picked all three of you up, checked you out, and wiped your memories, but I find it more plausible than the 'wormholes' theory you proposed. Seriously, check out the missing time / memory phenomenon. It consistently associated with visitations or abductions.
I have a couple of questions:
1.) Do you know if any of you had strange dreams after this event?
2.) You said you drove from the lab to the lecture to keep yourselves from being late. On that day, were you guys late to the lecture? |

In keeping with the theme of this thread, I'll post a glitch story myself.
I had a few drinks with friends, maybe four beers over the course of four hours one Friday night. I'm 6'4".Certainly not enough alcohol to cause blackout conditions. We met in the city, and my house at the time was about 25 miles outside of the city. I've done that drive home thousands of times. As soon as I got out of the city, with about 20 miles to go, my memory is completely gone. I woke up in my bed the next morning. I drove the remaining 20 miles, got home, out of my car, unlocked the door, went upstairs, disrobed, and crawled into bed with absolutely NO MEMORY of it. This has never happened since or before. I know the alcohol seems like a likely culprit to explain the story, but I know my limits. And I realize that it's not really a 'glitch' story per se, but it's the closest thing I've got. Perhaps I was abducted, or perhaps I just went into road hypnosis 'auto pilot'. |

Dude that reddit thread is awesome! Thanks for posting it!
Here's a more 'glitchy' story of my own.
I drink a lot of water. I have a water filtration machine at home. I rarely drink anything other than water at home. I never keep milk in the fridge. I don't like milk, and I don't drink it....ever.
Part of my nightly routine is to drink a cup of water, set the cup on my desk, and go to sleep.
I wake one sunny morning, grab my cup from last night off my desk, and go to the water machine to get some fresh morning hydration.
Guess what. The cup is about one third full of milk. Also guess what. There is no milk in my house. No milk in the fridge, and no empty cartons in the trash. Like I said, I don't drink milk. Where the hell did this milk come from and how did I get into my water cup? I still don't know. |

This just happened.
I was talking online with boyfriend and he used the wrong "there" and I didn't just glance, I stared at it -- something unusual for him, and I continued to look as I chuckled and weighed whether or not to make a joke.
I decided to make a joke, clicked another tab, went back to my messaging, and suddenly it was the right one in his original message.
He says he's not sure which he typed and doesn't really believe or not believe me. (Pretty sure he just doesn't care.) |

I'm 6'2"...not overly tall but taller than anyone of my friends. At the end of one weekend a number of us (foreigners and Koreans) were taking a number of group photographs.
We get the photographs back...and I'm shorter than almost everyone else there. Everyone else is of normal height comparatively to others in the group. Somehow I lost 6 inches or so.
It's never happened before or since and only to me in those photos.
Still can't figure it out. |

The first story = don't do too much drugs and things like this won't 'seem' to happen.
Tum story - Koreans using a special angle to not make the others lose face by you being so much taller than them in the photo. Very simply done for anyone with only the most basic understanding of photography. |

All interesting stories and I hate to break the news to you but what you all experienced - as one had already mentioned - is "autopilot syndrome."
People commonly report driving long distances and then not remembering driving at all. It's because we can function while awake doing mundane tasks where the auto-pilot part of our brain takes over and our consciousness checks out.
This is a very true phenomenon, check it out.
It's the same thing when something you just had in your hands a second ago is nowhere to be found and when it is found, you swear to yourself that you never put it there. Sorry folks, you did, your conscious memory is just not aware of it.
Now the milk story would take a bit more explaining but I'm sure there is a logical explanation to it. |

Well I was standing smack dab in the middle of a closely clustered group...that would have to be one heckave special angle to only shrink me.
Also the photos were taken by my best mate (A Brit...not a Korean).
But then again...the camera WAS Korean...hmmm maybe there's something to that theory after all. |
