I need to get my snowboard waxed and edges sharpened. I bought the board in America, so can't go back to where I bought it. I had it waxed one time somewhere down near Jamshil on line 7 at the Burton shop, when I needed my bindings worked on. I'd hate to have to go all the way back down to Gangnam or Jamshil just to wax my board. Anyone know a shop waxing snowboards (and probably selling them) in Hongdae or Sinchon or Hapjeong?
Thanks

I live in the area, and remember a snowboard shop in Sinchon for about a year (they've since closed) but I think it was all fashion and not function. I brought my boards in to have them waxed/sharpened, and they looked at me like I was insane. Haven't seen any other shops though.

I'm pretty sure there's a snowboard shop on one of the streets that run perpendicular to the main road. It's between Hapjeong/Hongdae station. It's the same street (opposite side) as Mansion if you know where that is. There's a Angel in Us at the bottom corner by the main road. I never went inside so I don't know if they do sharpening, but it was definitely a snowboard shop.

EDIT: I was bored:

It might just be an apparel shop. I can't remember. I used to walk by it almost everyday, but I've since moved.

Thanks furtakk,
I took a walk by that place. It was just clothing. "Alternative Lifestyle" clothing. No skis or boards. Thanks though.

I'm beginning to think this is going to be one of those cases where there is a single street in all of Seoul (second biggest city in the world) with 10 shops in a row all doing the same thing, in this case waxing snowboards. Unfortunately for me that single street is in Gangnam.

There used to be a shop at Dongyodong between Hongdae and Sinchon, but, unfortunately, it's closed down. Surely you can get it done at a resort??

Yes, doing it at the resort sounds like a good idea. I hate to take time out from riding, but may have to do that.
I confirmed with a Korean friend, (avid skier), that line 7, Hakdong station is indeed the only place in Seoul to wax boards and skis. Oh well, maybe I'll bring a good book and head over that way.
Thanks

I checked Naver maps. Most of the ski/snowboard shops in Seoul are located in Kangnam. But, there's also a couple in Itaewon and Dongdaemun.

Go to http://map.naver.com/index.nhn and do a search for 스노우보드.

I'd call the store first before hauling the board halfway across town. Some stores might not offer the services you're looking for.
