Opened my mail today to find 22 junk mails, only one of which was from a user name I recognized, Bulsajo, from Dave's board.

How can I stop this happening?, it's not the first time I've had spam routed through this board and it's getting annoying.

The board isnt sending spam.

The virus is copying email addresses and displaying those in your inbox.

You're welcome! Razz Razz Razz Razz ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US!!!

Three things Bulsajo can tell you:

1.Bulsajo doesn't have an email account with the name 'Bulsajo' in it, nor does he ever send emails with the name 'Bulsajo' in the signature block or anywhere else in the email. Emails from 'Bulsajo' are not from him- never have been, never will be.

2. Bulsajo doesn't send emails to board users- Bulsajo uses the the PM function- it's much safer that way. Bulsajo has never sent an email nor a private message to Squid.

3. And finally, Bulsajo would like to Thanks Joe for turning him on to the sublime and profound uses of referring to oneself in the third-person.

This happens often with a virus or something creating fake addresses.

I think it's more than a virus at work.
Why? It's more than the case of a virus spoofing the sender's email address and masking it with a known one- since there is no such email account someone had to manually (i.e. deliberately) stick my handle in there.
Not surprising really- just another jihad against the board by one of the tards.

Thanks Bulsajo, unfortunately you copped it for a string of spam I've got from users on this board.

I have never E-Mailed the people, nor have they me. So there's only one place the spammer is getting my E-Mail address... here on Dave's.

Otherwise I find it unlikelyto the point of impossiblity anyone would randomly choose a name such as "bulsajo" and moniker a mail with it.

No diss. B.

It's not random. Some of them can take names from messageboards like this, and use them. Especially if it magages to get your email address from here.

I've gotten them before myself. A virus is all they are.
