We had the first meeting of the Gangneung City over 39 club in May and it was a success. There were 4 people from Gangneung, 2 from Donghae, and 5 from Wonju. We ate at an inexpensive but tasty western restaurant which could accomodate the tastes of meat eaters and vegetarians. After the meal, the group split into 3 and 1 group went to the beach, 1 went for a walk, and the 3rd went for coffee and shopping.

We will be meeting on the 2nd sunday of each month. This month it will be June 13th. This happens to be during the Gangneung International Folklore Festival so we may be planning a daylong event.

For all English speakers. If you are age 39 and over, and you are living in or near Gangneung city on the east coast, or are willing to travel here, this club is for you. We welcome all nationalities.

What ever your interests are, you can find some one to share them with. This is a friendship club, not a "match making" service or group for teaching English!
