Terribe terrible video. Beat up by other asian kids apparently.

Living in Korea, I hated reading terrible sexual assault news stories.

Living in Canada, I hate reading sh!te like this.

Where the hell am I supposed to raise my kids now?

Asians do not get along with other Asians in the US. In the DC area Vietnamese and Koreans do not get along.

I would imagine in LA with the large Korean population that there are animosities between Koreans and say Chinese, Southeast Asians, etc...

I do find it interesting that Korean-Americans and Indian-Americans get along pretty well.

apparently, it was Chinese on Chinese beating.

There's a girl on youtube saying that it was "retribution" for a 20 on 2 beating a while back.

I'm doubting it though. The guys on video look like they're just dicks. Doesn't look like retribution, more like they're having fun. Looks like the girl is perhaps defending one of the 6 thugs (gf or sister perhaps?)

Chinese don't like other Chinese.

The 20 on 1 fighting is pretty common. For example, I was in this Asian club in DC. One guy I had just met that night saw his ex gf talking to some other guy. So, he got all his "boys" together, called a few up and went outside. Everyone hid behind cars and things outside the club. When that guy who was talking to his ex gf came out they all jumped him. 12 guys all beating up a single person.

Turned out that guy was her cousin visiting from out of town.

It looks bad.........but if you can run away at full speed after a 3 minute beating by 6 guys then either you're a seriously tough SOB or they weren't very hard hitters.

meh

I'm Chinese and I think it's a generalisation that "chinese don't like other chinese".

I grew up with Chinese kids in Vancouver. It wasn't even that long ago either. 20 on 1 was not common at all. I heard about a couple of 8 vs 2, but that's about it.

The chinese guys doing the beating are high school kids apparently. From "random" stuff I'm reading on the net, they were born in the States/westernized. The kid getting beat up is fresh off the boat. He's speaking mandarin.

What I think (just my opinion), is that the thugs found a random FOB, kicked his ass, and boasted about it online. Now that they've been outed, one of their girlfriends is trying to do some damage control. She says its retaliation for a 20 on 2 beating in the past. My first thought is this: How on earth did she know it was 20 on 2? Did she see it? Cuz with 20 guys pounding away on 2, all you would see is a flurry of fists and bodies, how can u get an accurate count? Did the 2 victims report "20" guys beat us up? How would they be able to count bodies if they were getting pounded by 20 guys?

Anyways, my opinion is pretty irrelevant in the end.

did the police catch the guys who did it?

these kinds of bashing happen everywhere in the world. Every country.

Korea is Very bad for this kind of thing, most Korean kids don't fight it, they just hand over their money and cellphones etc and stay quiet.

back home, it's more prevalent on the streets, because kids are bored so they walk outside and trouble is waiting for you.
you got no money from your parents, so you go and beat someone up for theirs.

youth culture.
random beatings happen all the time.

Those guys were hitting like pansies. God how I hate this this psuedo wanna be gangsta culture thats prevalent in the States and fueled by Hip hop music. Those guys were about as gangster as Doris Day. You can tell because they all made it a point to hide their identities. Im sure after this they all went home to study under their mom's watchful eye. If I was a real bad ass black guy in Chicago, say a Gangster Disciple, I would find these guys and give them a real ass whipping just for using the N-word so much. Actually since the police did catch these guys, I bet they are going to get a nice surprise when they show up in juvie lockup.

It certainly serves to show that bullies are cowards and weaklings.

When I was in high school, 5 guys ganged up on my classmate's brother. According to what I heard, he found them, broke a couple of arms and a nose, and two guys ran away.

I'm sure they learned to never pick again on another kid, especially one who has an older, much stronger brother who's been doing martial arts since he was in kindergarten. Laughing

20 on 1 fighting is the NORM everywhere these days. Growing up in Canada, I never saw a fight that wasn't at least 5 on 1 and it was usually a much greater gap than that.

This generation is full of cowards and people won't fight unless the odds are stacked in their favour.

Chinese on Chinese?? Where did you get that from? If you look at their faces they look Hispanic. And when you see their actual names, Spanish as well.

No Asian on Asian violence here. They did say the victim here was involved in a 20 person jump last Fall, so he's probably a tard as well and just getting what was coming to him. Having to hear the "N" word repeatedly from these Spanish kids was almost as bothersome to me as the video, but I guess that's how they do it in Chicago.

This story landed on the Naver homepage: http://news.naver.com/main/hotissue/read.nhn?mid=hot&sid1=104&cid=313291&iid=13432028&oid=081&aid=0002256581&ptype=011

Notice that it says "Although one boy was white, the other's skin colour could not be seen" when describing the attackers.

"You'd shoot a man in the back?"

"Of course, its the safest place to shoot."

Seems that with the rise of cynicism in this day in age....

Also the kid who got jumped allegedly had $180 in cash on him....

Drugs or any other criminal activity maybe?

I don't know how an FOB kid who could barely speak English could get into the drug scene that quickly. If it was for initiation, they wouldn't have let him keep any cash (as far as I know). He also looked fairly clean cut.

My bet is well to do Chinese parents giving him a large allowance. Many of my Korean Elementary-High School students carried more cash with them regularly than I ever dreamed of when I was their age. I think the reason being that their parents don't see them for days at a time so they just give them $100+ for food and to keep them busy while they study.
