I just lost my iphone 4 and I believe I had insurance on it just in case. Will I be able to replace it? Should I say that it was stolen? |

Get in touch with KT (go to a global centre if you don't have a Korean to assist you) and they will guide you from there. Do not lie about it... just tell them what happened. You'll have to get a police report and jump through a bunch of a hurdles... you should be provided with a loaner phone in the meantime. |

Just out of interest, if I was to damage my phone (for example, dropping it in the toilet) would KT provide me with a loaner phone while assessing the damage? |

Using the insurance is a pain the ass. Its not a KT thing, its a common thing no matter the country/carrier.
First, it takes a long time to get it replaced. You are looking at around 2 weeks from the time you file the claim, and you get your replacement phone.
Secondly, you have to pay a deductable for the replacement. You dont' get it for free.
Lastly, the phone you get is not always the same as the one you filed, especially when it comes to colors. I know nowadays if you have a white Iphone, you get a white one in return, but that wasn't always the case. |

Actually when using the insurance I found it to be incredibly easy!
I just walked in, paid 290,000, and walked out 15 minutes later with the exact same model phone that I came in with (black 16GB 3Gs). About three weeks later I received 240,000 in my bank account as a credit (since the cost of replacement is 50,000). |

I think if you pay upfront, you get the phone. But if you only pay the deduction, then you have to wait. Also, with a 3GS, it would be easy. I remember people who had Iphone 4's and they had a horrible time with insurance.

Has anyone had the experience of getting an iphone 4 replaced with insurance? Just lost mine and might have to go that route!
Cheers |
