very very good. too bad we wont hear music that good for a long time in seoul. too many people in this city are more interested in the club scene than the music scene

Right, that was real house music ( I don't like techno, no groove ) but I thought the new bar was very poorly designed, all herded into one big cirluar area, no chill out zone

what a surprise, someone does something new and different in seoul and everyone comes out to criticise.

Have you seen the acts that are booked to play M2 over the next few weeks?

So you mean to tell me all trance is cheesy??????
Some trance, especially if it is a continual 2 hour set is fan frigging tastic.

I'm interested in going to Tokyo, Messe Hall is awesome, went to a few raves there when i lived in Japan, the Japanese are a lot more hip to it than Koreans are.

what you just arrive in SEOUL? all those djs have already played here!
doesnt take M2 to bring us something new..
Criticise? we are just stating some facts..
I criticise lime lite and Itaewon.. but I still go.. just pointing out a few imperfections. the clubs is not some perfect master piece.
and frankly I prefer to see big name Djs in bigger places.. sheraton walker etc... if by chance they get 500 people to one of these raves.. it will be kaos in there. already it was packed on saturday and there was probably 300 - 500 people,.,. that place can NOWAY do 1000 people!!
very bad design must say..
sorry lime lite is still number #1 if you ask me.. not that I go there often.
but as design and layout, and acual venue.. its better..
you will see, m2 will only be good for raves.. I doubt many people will go there normal days.. the smaller clubs are what dance is all about.
underground D&b, trance, tec house.. you think m2 is going to kill
cargo, MI, joker red, MGW??? I doubt it.!!!
anyway Im not here to hate on m2.. or ohoo.. its a great concept..
and im sure I will have some wicked nights in there over the next few years..
but it aint the greatest club seoul has ever seen! not even close!!!

Don't know.

I don't think i could go due to money but I'm dying to see a decent trance DJ, not cheesy 4 minute songs but good deep trance with a bit of a house background.

um, yes. yes it is.

derrick carter was pretty good on sat. not his best set though.

M2 is by far the most decent club i've been to in seoul yet.

richie hawtin was here in dec. i've been pretty impressed with the caliber of techno djs who have been coming through seoul (marco carola christain smith, etc...). all of whom have played in small clubs for very little money (compared to the 30-50$ they would be in canada).

Christian Smith was pretty awesome.

That was up near Jongno right at Triport Hall?????

BTW...I must love cheesy music then. I get a buzz and goosebumps everytime i hear fantastic techno. Very Happy Very Happy
