|
|
I'm going to the States with my girlfriend in March and I'd really like to bring her to Montreal for a few days. Does anyone know if this is doable with the visa waiver thing that Koreans get, or does she run the risk of not being allowed back into the States? Her exit ticket would be for about a week after we returned from Canada. Any personal experience with doing this would be much appreciated. |

Why not call the Canadian Embassy to check? As far as I know, Koreans don't need anything other than passport to go to Canada, but not sure. I don't know anything about US regulations (leaving and re-entering), so you might want to check that too.
Enjoy Montreal! |

No worry exiting the States, entering Canada or returning to the states for the flight home.

On paper it seems fine, I'm just a little nervous that they'd think she's playing visa games or something. The Canadian embassy wouldn't be helpful, as I know she can get into Canada, my concern is just getting her back into the States. That said, I trust ttompatz: thanks. I'm looking forward to going back to Montreal, as I miss that city dearly. |

As long as she can prove a scheduled departure from the States (going there to catch a plane) she won't have any trouble returning to the US from Canada. Have the e-ticket ready when you make the land crossing and enjoy Montreal.
