one of my most memorable educational experiences came when i was once teaching the meaning of the lyrics to Toni Braxton's unforgettably romantic song, ' Unbreak my Heart.' my first intention was to point out the grammatical error of the use of the word 'unbreak' in the song. but, alas, i was teaching a class of potential female airline attendants (all young girls) so when it came to singing along to the song while i muted the vocal lyrics, their singing captivated and charmed the very essence of my failures in romantic relationships and i loved the pain so i just wanted to play that tune over and over again... that was some time ago and i still struggle today to get a class to sing to any song as soothing and as just right seductively convincing as that song on that day when i felt my class and i had went through those same tragically romantic experiences of having our hearts broken.

gee, it still lingers in my memory and heart as i text this posting... Crying or Very sad

so? do you sing in class with your students? can you share your class singing experiences? Shocked
