So I'm new (here since August) AND have a new boyfriend (3 months). Feel free to rant against the consumerism of Valentine's Day, how White Day is more important etc, but, damn it, I want to go to dinner with my man.

I'm paying for this one, he's gonna pay for White Day. I'm usually single, Valentine's Day is kitschy, I embrace it. Get dressed up, eat somewhere nice, get laid. Sure beats street food together.

So where's somewhere "sexy" to go (like 100,000 - 150,000 W TOTAL) for dinner? He lives in Itaewon, so I feel like staying there is kind of "tired," but if there's something noteworthy, I'm all ears.

I was looking at the restaurant atop 63 City and it's just TOO expensive. Like 100,000W for the basic menu... totally paying for the view.

Try the new "feast" buffet in the Sheraton at D Cube City/ Sindorim. The view is great, 41st floor. Food and service were excellent and they have a chocolate fondue fountain with amazing dessert selection as well. Even fresh oysters to help with the valentine's vibe. Wink I believe it was 54,000won each.

Chocolate fondue, eh? It's like prom or ghetto wedding! (Sorry, can't resist, I used to work in the events industry at home)

Hmmmm looks nice (in the stylized website pictures, natch) without being TOO much. Thanks for the heads up.

And yes, getting all swanky and spending excessively on dinner is fun as is the post splurge sex.

If you want to keep it close to home, Acro Tower has an Italian restaurant at the top that's pretty decent and very much within your budget. Excellent view, obviously, as there's nothing else anywhere near that size in Anyang.

Does he like meat?

lots of Brazillian Churrasco places in and around Apgujeong. Will be less than 100k for 2 people.

New York Steakhouse has great atmostphere (cozy and intimate) and good steaks. They are located in Seorae Ma Oul neat Express Bus Terminal.

Zelen's in Hannam-dong is a Bulgarian restaurant with great food, wine, and service.
