Hi all

I've finally got my placement - at Haeyeon Middle School in Busan! So that clears up what age I'm teaching and where, now it gets really real!

If you've got any last minute advice on what I should or shouldn't bring, on what's going on in Busan, on what I should expect or where I should look to meet people... I'm all ears people, if any of you already live in Busan I'd welcome your thoughts.

Also, if there's any Sticky, or links you can suggest that could help me prepare to leave? Theres a thread for coming home from Korea, but not one for arriving there.

I think you'll like living there. Busan's a cool place.

Bring as many clothes as you can because the stuff here is crap or very expensive, bring as much deodorant as you can because it's expensive here, but not impossibly expensive. Anything else you can get here. Maybe bring some unusual spices, but really, you can get most things here. Oh and bring some power adapters and maybe you'll need a transformer if you're American.

When you first arrive and speak to your employer, just say yes to everything they ask or say, then if it seems an absurd request to you, just ignore it, or figure out how everyone else is ignoring it. Welcome to Korea.
