So its time to attempt to kick the habit again. My consumption has sky rocketed in Korea due to how cheap and convenient smoking is in this country.
At home I used the patches with pretty decent success in the past and I'm hoping I can find something similar over here. With the huge numbers of smokers in this country I'm pretty sure they have to be available here.
So a few questions. Are they any good? Where can they be purchased? What are they called? Are they expensive? What doses? |

The local community health centers (보건소) are supposed to give them away for free, but when I stopped in they gave me the old "sorry these are for Koreans only" routine. You may have better luck depending on where you live or who's working that day.
You can also buy them in nearly any pharmacy. One of the most popular brands in Nicostop (니코스탑). It comes in 3 doses (30mg, 20mg, 10mg). Costs around 10,000 won for a box of 7 patches. (1 week supply)
I've had pretty good luck with them. Haven't smoked in about 4 months. |
