|
|
I have a few hours to kill a couple of times a week in the morning in the City Hall area. I was thinking of using this time to do lesson plans and read.
Can anyone recommend a nice, quiet coffee shop with plugs and wifi in the City Hall area?
Also, are there any decent cheap options for solo lunch around there?
Thanks |

take a walk toward Gwanghwamun (pass the Koreana hotel) and when you see the Admiral Yi statue (Gwanghwamun station), turn right at the huge intersection and walk to Jongno. There are so many coffee shops I think you will have your hands full choosing one |

Thanks. I actually know the area relatively well but I've never spent time in coffee shops around there. I'm looking for a place that's not noisy like Starbucks usually are. Somewhere which has plugs for a laptop and reliable wifi. If anyone knows any specific places, that'd be great. |

I'm pretty sure you can't take 4 steps in that area without tripping over a coffee shop. |

cafe mamas/mamas cafe is an alright little spot right around the corner from city hall... decent sandwiches, nice vibe and not a starbucks/dunkins/angelinus/whatever.
if facing city hall its down the road on the right hand side, between the two mcdonalds |

Again, I know the area and there are indeed a lot of coffee shops. However, I'm looking for something more specific.
I guess what I'm looking for is a book cafe like the ones around Hongdae. Somewhere quiet where I can get a decent cup of coffee and get some work done.
This would be a good template, although I've never been to that particular place: http://www.seoulfood.org/2011/rabbit-cafe/ |
