| I am from the US and new to Korea. I came in December, and I now have a Korean girlfriend who I met here. It�s Valentine�s Day on Tuesday and I want to know what is expected from the girl and from the guy? |

Guys don't do anything for Valentine's Day. Resist the urge to buy chocolates and flowers! You just sit back and receive. IF you receive anything, times the amount by three, and purchase accordingly next month on White Day (Mar 14).
Don't be a newbie sucker and buy the girl stuff on Valentine's Day, and then again on White Day! |

Yep.
Guys get chocolate from the ladies on Valentine's day. Ladies get candy from the guys on White day. On Black day (April 14th) singles go out for JaJjangMyeon to celebrate their sorrow. |

It sounds like some parable out of the bible or something. Only in the original version the last girl would say 'my boyfriend is very poor and could only give me his love. But that to me was worth more than anything money could buy.' And all the other girls would wipe a tear from their eyes and send their BMWs and posh handbags round to the local orphanage. |

you should have told her you value her mind and heart more than material possessions! Before she can say anything sink your head and tell her she must leave your home because she is a greedy selfish wench who will never marry because she is too old and ugly  |

And how long did you listen to this crap? You should have sent her home after the first sentence. You didnt lie to her in the beginning and tell her you were a doctor, did you? |
