I predict that come next week when the results are finalized that Jeju will be one of the 'seventh wonders of nature.' This whole process started back in 2007 and I'm proud to say with all our hard work it's looking like we'll make the top seven. It's going to be great for boosting our tourism industry and the projected forecast for revenues generated is between 500 and 1 billion US.

If you haven't visited one of the beautifulist islands in the whole wide world then please do so. Places like Hawaii pale into insignificance!! Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink

I got the invite on facebook and just assumed that this was some elaborate trolling attempt... Having spent a week on both Jeju and Hawaii (in that chronological order), I pity anyone who seriously believes that Jeju Island comes anywhere near HI.

Sure it's not Hawaii, but it ain't that bad.

Besides Hawaii would probably get boring. Jeju doesn't. Laughing

Lol at you for wasting your time and energy fretting over such trivial matters. No wonder koreans probably think you're a loser.

Vote for Jeju Island? What? For all of it? Can all of it be considered a "Wonder?"

I loved my visit to Jeju but would I call it a "Wonder?" Nope!

Why not just have Hallasan nominated? Best mountain/volcano?
Nope, would rather vote for Vesuvius or Kiliminjaro or....or....

Best waterfalls? Nope, would rather vote for Iguaza Falls.

So, the question becomes: Does all of Jeju's individual natural features make it a New Wonder? Sure, they are interesting but unique and outstanding they are not.

I voted for Jeju, I also voted for 6 other places because I could vote for 7. I am sad that Seoraksan and Taean National Parks weren't on the list. They would have got my votes too. Korea fighting!

Most sensible thing I've read in this thread. But I hope you mean the white bottle, and not the girly green one Question Wink
