| Has anyone ever been paid in US dollars and therefore had to have a US dollar account? Anyone know the best bank for this? I'm guessing Citi bank would be a good one but not too sure on that. I don't want to get raped by the exchange rate every month so I'm probably going to keep it in US dollars and exchange when the rates are good. Also, anyone know a good savings account that gets good interest rates? A lot of questions I know. THanks for the advice. |

| Can't speak for interest rates (and I'm not even sure there's one that would give interest on dollars in Korea), but KEB has a global account that handles dollars. I guess it depends on where your work is willing to deposit cash. |

You won't get good interest rates on USD deposits, only KRW. I'd say just shop around different banks for promotions, and make sure to read the fine print (some attractive rates may require you to lock up your money for a fixed term) - especially some of the "dual-currency deposits" with guaranteed high interest rates. |
