Is there any way I can go skydiving in Korea? I'd like to try it. And I'd rather go alone rather than as a tandem, if that's possible. |

Is it correct to assume you've taken some form of basic training in skydiving before? They won't let you get on board a plane/chopper and jump solo unless you know exactly what you're doing.
Having said that, there's Korea Parachute Association (http://www.kpa.or.kr) under which they also run Seoul Skydiving School (http://www.skydivingschool.co.kr) who trains the inexperienced over 2 months for solo skydiving, or arranges skydiving-in-tandem for 300k Won. |

im too lazy to click the link the previous poster put up, but i assume they have IAD. if they do, I recommend that over Tandem, especially if you want to pursue it in the future.
i did 3 IAD jumps in Canada and i loved them. obviously no free-fall (arguably the best part), but i preferred to do it myself rather than have some dude strapped to my "behind"
if i wasnt leaving so soon, i'd go with u. |

Instructor Assisted Deployment.
Same concept as zip line.
Your instructor has your pilot chute in his hand while ur in the plane. u exit the plane and dangle off the wing strut. you let go, your instructor lets go of your chute, it fills up with air, and 3-5 seconds after you're under canopy-alone.
i had to train for about 6 hours to do this. if time is a factor, tandem is your best option.
i have a video, when im not lazy, ill upload it for all to see. |
