|
|
The office staff at my school is very helpful. It's a rotating group that changes from day to day--usually 2-3 people, mostly women in their mid-20s but a few men as well. In addition to their general work, they've helped me personally with xeroxing materials, ordering supplies online from Korean-language websites, etc.
I would like to get them some sort of gift to let them know how much I appreciate their help. I know it's the thought that counts, and I've seen one teacher give them a holiday card, and another, a tin of cookies. This is fine but I'd like to give them something a bit more elaborate--maybe something specifically related to Korean culture. Of course food would definitely work since they can all share it. I'm looking to spend, say, about 50,000 won, more or less.
Have you ever given a gift in the past, in this kind of context, that went over really well? Would appreciate hearing. Thanks in advance. |

How about some fancy tea? Unfortunately, I'm not the best with gifts, my loved ones remind me of that fact regularly |

Buy them lunch, like pizza you can only get (thank goodness) in Korea. They'll appreciate it. |

Hand Cream. Koreans love that stuff. Especially the one that says something like "Norwegian Formula".
I can't remember the brand. |

buy a bunch of "pretty" cards and write them thank you notes in korean. if you need to you can look up some key phrases on the 'net. anytime i've done anything in korean my school seems super pleased. it's simple and thoughtful and shows and interest in korean culture^^ |

A stapler, a tube of copier toner, a box of paper and a little broom/dustpan set.
Too practical?
A nice dinner then. |
