Just wondering if anyone has any info on how much it costs to send things via surface mail to Canada. I assume it's by weight so if anyone knows how much per lb/kg, and roughly how long it takes, that info would be appreciated. Thanks! |

20 kg for 40,000. I could search for a more specific answer, but I'm pretty sure the price I quoted is true. If you search for "Korea Postal Service" on yahoo or google or your weapon of choice, it will give you a whole website with rates and whatnot. It also tells you you're not supposed to send gasoline. So don't even think about sending it. |

Does anyone know what the procedure is for shipping things to the USA/Canada? I need to ship a package by surface mail and I don't know how to find the nearest post office in my neighborhood. I tried searching the Korea Post website in English, but there doesn't seem to be any information there. The only location they list is the main post office (really far from me!). Someone even told me the other day that they will actually come to your house and pick the package up from you. That would be great! |

Yes, they will. Ask your director to call. |

I sent a few small packages surface to Canada before I left Korea. It cost about 20,000 for a box that wieghed approx 8kg and it took about 6 weeks to get to it's destination. |

Unless you are sending something uniquely Korean, I would recommend buying from a Canadian internet site so that it can be shipped directly from them, in Canada, at a cheaper price. This is great for X-mas presents. |
