I re-signed with my school last year in May, but this year they have said that if I want to stay at the school I will have to sign a new contract starting in March. So my new contract will be from March to March rather than May to May. They assured me that they had cleared everything with city hall and that the 10 months of my current contract will count as a full year. I.e. full completion bonus, flight home or equivalent money and a slight pay increase.
I am just thinking about the visa. Since its a little different, timeframe wise, does anyone know what immigration will say? I called them myself and in my okay Korean got a person who spoke English, but they didnt really get what I was talking about, my co teacher says it will be fine.
Just wondering if anyone knows anything different. |

You can do the extension up to 60 days early.
Immigration won't care about the gory details of their finagling in your contract to get your contract to coincide with the school year.
Immigration will extend your new contract until the end of the contract and any length is fine from 1 day to 1 year.
