It has been a month and 3 weeks since I signed my documents and sent them to Korea, 3 weeks since I was supposed to start my job according to the contract I signed, and over 2 weeks since the school informed me that they had finally sent my documents to immigration.
I'm frustrated, to say the least.
I'm becoming worried that this school has decided against hiring me... and also decided against telling me that. They just tell me that there are unfortunate delays and we must just wait.
It the meantime... I have been offered another job. What are my options? Do I just have to wait and see if the visa for the original job comes through? I'm scared that if I have to wait too long, I'll lose the option of the second job.

If you have signed a contract and they have submitted your documents to immigration, then you are now locked in with that school...and there is nothing more you can do at this point.

Give THEM a deadline and let your recruiter know. The recruiter will put some pressure on them to get things done or he knows he could lose his commission. Just tell him you're thinking about cancelling and that should get some kind of response.

The recruiter works for the school full-time, so does not get commission from hiring me. Although that would be a great idea if that weren't the case!
