I've been looking for a good place to buy higher end dishes and pots/pans/utensils but so far have had no luck, I've shopped around Namdemun, Chumngmuro, etc. looking but can only find boring/subpar furnishings for the home.

I'm looking for funky dishes and stuff that you would find in say... a french restaurant. Any suggestions? I can't handle another weekend Namdemun trip.

At Namdeamun did you go in the buildings? In the building thats above the foreign food black market, there are dish shops on the upper floors. A lot of unique and expensive stuff up there.
