I went once, to Lotte World, a few summers ago. It was good times... some pretty bad lines, but not terrible.
What's it like in the winter? I don't really remember the inside of it very well, as I didn't spend much time there. Is it work going? Are the lines shorter? What days are less busy than others? I may try to go next Friday, when most people are at school/work...
What about Everland?
And also, anyone know when Lotte World moves back outside?? |

I hate Everland in the winter, but my wife and I *love* going to Caribbean Bay when it's cold. The outdoor area is partially open, and it's so fun to sit in the hot tubs when there's a dusting of snow... |

You're so right. The water parks and spas are so much fun in the winter. There's nothing more relaxing. They get too crowded in the summer, and people are so high strung at that time of year. |

Since a good portion of the park is indoors, I'd imagine Lotte World is very winter friendly. BTW, I remember mentioning some ad I saw regarding waegook discounts at my hotel and the lady in the ticket booth gave me a pretty hefty discount.
I like to go on weekdays. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are typically the slowest days for amusement parks. Even on weekends, the lines do not approach the horribleness of those at Disneyland on any given day. |

I went to Lotte World last week, and had a lovely time. I agree that weekdays are best, especially if you go in the morning.
They're having a flower festival right now, with tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths planted all around the main floor, so going is a really nice antidote for the cold, dreary weather.
I believe the signs said they would re-open the outdoor portion in April, but don't quote me on that.
We went to Everland on Christmas Day a couple years ago, and it was absolutely miserable. There is virtually no place to escape the cold or wind, and the lines were still hours long. They had a few heaters set up for the long lines, but they really didn't do much to help matters.
Christmas Day at Lotte World is equally miserable for different reasons, but an ordinary weekday will be fine. |
