I am currently awaiting my approved visa. I am expecting my passport to come back to me Tuesday or Wednesday.
However, my former employer (hagwon #1) does not want to hire me anymore because, basically, my visa wasn't approved fast enough for their liking. They need a teacher RIGHT NOW, I guess.
Enter hagwon #2 that wishes to hire me; will pay for a flight later in the week. My recruiter says hagwon #2 will help me transfer my visa after I arrive. I am familiar with hagwon #2 because they offered me a job some time ago; the school seems fine.
I've been shuffled around a lot, last-minute. It's shitty.
With the consent of both schools, is the visa transfer process difficult? Am I at risk regarding legality or anything? Are the 90-days, visa-run threads relevant at all to my situation? My recruiter did not mention having to get new paperwork or anything...
Eeeek, thanks. |

I don't think it would be that difficult if both schools are cooperative. You'd have to get a letter of release from hagwon #1 after you arrive in Korea. |
