For those interested in freedom of speech and like hearing opinions on controversial topics like politics, sex, and religion, you may like attending a Roastmasters meeting.

Roastmasters meets in Hyehwa at Bar Mario from 8-10pm on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. Roastmasters is an official Toastmasters club with some unique aspects. The club allows playful heckling, Q & A after speeches, and of course alcohol flows in the bar, which is closed to the general public during the meeting. Speeches don't have to be controversial, but they can be. No one is forced to speak, so you can come, listen, and mingle with great people. Closed-minded individuals need not attend.

Check out www.roastmasters.org or email [email protected] for more details. Reservations are required.

The next meeting is March 8 where a pub quiz/trivia night will be intertwined in the regular meeting.
